The series scopes a range of genres from artists specialising in techno, house, bass and beyond.

All mixes are available to stream via our Soundcloud.

Cassy

Cassy's mix is a journey through house and techno, blending soulful energy with undeniable dancefloor power—a perfect tribute to the strength, creativity, and resilience of women in music and beyond.

"It was a number like 7 or 8 out of 10 women that had to resort to prostitution after the First World War in Vienna to make money… 1918 women were given the right to vote. I cannot even begin to even try to imagine what it must have felt like.

It is an honour and a privilege to be a woman, a single mum and a dj. When the going gets tough I think of my female ancestors including my mother and what they had to sacrifice for me to be able to live my life. Let’s continue on our path with love, grace and patience."

Chinese Daughter

Chinese Daughter offers a mix packed with nostalgic yet forward-thinking sounds, weaving together leftfield club, dreamy melodies, and off-kilter rhythms with a fresh perspective.

"One of the best things about being a DJ is all the fabulous women I meet out at the club, both in the green room and on the dancefloor. There a kind of warmth and excitement, like "hey girl!"I've had loads women tell me how encouraging it is to see someone that looks like them on stage breaking up all-male line ups and how this changes their own perceptions and limitations they may have subconsciously put on themself."

Heléna Star

Helena Star showcases her signature blend of house, garage, and rolling basslines, delivering an infectious mix full of groove and energy from minute one.

"I feel truly blessed to be surrounded by some of the most talented, innovative, brilliant women who have made such an impact in my life and so many others. Whilst there is a long way to go, to see an industry where women feel safe and to feel their talent is given the same respect as their counterparts, I am grateful to those who are pushing for this change and to be working along side them."

Just Jane

Just Jane takes us on a pulsating ride through acid, techno, and off-kilter electronics.

"Massive thank you to fabric—it's an honour to be part of this mix series alongside so many incredible, talented women in the scene. It truly is a pleasure. This set reflects how my recent live performances have evolved, starting at 130 BPM and building up to 150 BPM. Happy International Women’s Day <3"

Loa Szala

Loa Szala, a rising name in the electronic scene, delivers a deep and hypnotic mix that fuses elements of techno, electro, and minimal, creating an immersive sonic experience from start to finish.

"Real progress happens when equality isn’t just acknowledged for a day but embedded in the culture year-round."

Mantra B2B Tasha

Mantra B2B Tasha is a meeting of two fierce forces in UK club music. Expect an electrifying journey through jungle, breakbeat, and percussive techno, showcasing their expert ability to balance intensity with finesse.

"We were both so gassed at rolling out the mix one 4 one in 1 take all vinyl - after 20 years, think we got the hang of this!"

Manuka Honey

Manuka Honey, known for her fiery and fearless approach to DJing, presents a mix that fuses reggaeton, dembow, and hard-hitting club rhythms—expect pure heat from start to finish.

"I’m constantly inspired by other women in my industry. In this mix I chose to highlight a lot of women, especially those from the global south and LatAm diaspora, who are making innovative club music that resonates with my dark, stormy taste. You’ll also catch some unreleased tracks from me, and other club legends."

Marie Montexier

Marie Montexier brings her signature blend of percussive grooves, hypnotic rhythms, and off-kilter electro to this year’s IWD mix series. Known for her impeccable selections and deep digging, she delivers an hour of leftfield club sounds with a raw and energetic touch.

"An all-vinyl mix for all the women who still play vinyl and keep going—despite the struggles, the structural challenges of sexism, and the fight to be taken seriously—that come with using this medium and doing this job!"

Mariiin

Mariiin, known for her sleek and sophisticated DJing style, serves up a mix rich in hypnotic techno, tribal rhythms, and deep, driving grooves—perfectly balancing movement and atmosphere.

"fabric is like a second home to me. I still remember the first time I played there, it was a defining moment, and that feeling has never left. Every time I step into the booth, it’s pure magic—an energy that’s impossible to describe but always unforgettable.

This mix is my way to celebrate the club that shaped me and all the women who dream of starting their own journey in DJing. The dancefloor is ours to create, express, and inspire."

RUTHLSS

RUTHLSS provides a bass-heavy mix exploring the darker corners of club music, seamlessly fusing techno, electro, and rave-inspired sounds into a powerful sonic statement.

"It was a total joy to put together a mix for Fabric's IWD mix series! I wanted to make something that felt in line with what I'd play out of the Fabric Room 1 speakers. It's a no holds barred high energy, high intensity mix which I also wanted to feel feminine and sexy at the same time - something to dance to at home or in the club. It's a heady mix of techno, breaks, trance and jersey club, a combination of recent cuts along with 90s samples and classic rave tracks thrown in. I hope you enjoy listening and Happy International Womens Day! ❤️"

Silva Snipa

Silva Snipa delivers her unique signature sound of high-octane mix blending UK bass, dancehall, and rapid-fire percussion.

"This International Women’s Day, I’m chuffed for the chances I’ve had and the people who’ve had my back, but I’m also proper hoping we can move past the industry’s obsession with labels and just let the music do the talking. We gotta stop with this invisible ceiling that’s created when you make categories like ‘best female DJ.’ It’s condescending, like slyly saying women need a subcategory ‘cause they can never be as good as the men? By doing that, it’s a subconscious way of dividing people into boxes, and honestly, it’s a micro-aggression—whether people realise it or not.

There’s so much amazing talent coming through from women, non-binary, and LGBTQ+ artists—maybe it’s time to stop with the pigeonholing. I’d like to mentor artists this year if I can, and support up-and-coming DJ’s. Though, fair warning, I think I’m gonna need some mentoring on production myself! Big love."

Surusignhe

Surusinghe steps up with a high-energy mix that fuses percussive club rhythms and tech-house infused grooves. Known for her forward-thinking productions and genre-blurring approach, she delivers a dynamic selection that keeps the momentum rolling from start to finish.

"I’ve spent way too many nights at fabric. I think it’s probably the club I’ve most frequented since living in London. And my favourite moments there have always been listening to the most perfect tech house in the early hours. Nothing can beat the sound of it on those Room One speakers. So this set is a tribute to my love for those moments and tech house."

Tarzsa

Tarzsa curates an hour of soulful, groove-infused selections that traverse house, broken beat, and R&B-inspired rhythms, delivering pure warmth and energy.

"This mix is inspired by many late nights spent on the dance floor at fabric - being a woman occupying these spaces from an early age has brought me a true sense of joy! Thank you fabric for having me contribute to your IWD mix."
