We've been itching to share this with you. Today we're launching a whole new label – a showcase of fresh, new music and projects from some of our favourite artists in the electronic underground. Introducing, fabric Originals.
Fitting alongside our fabric presents mix series and sister label Houndstooth, fabric Originals will release special projects from artists that have informed, inspired and elevated club music here in London, and around the world. The new imprint will feature artists such as DJ Bone, Helena Hauff, I. Jordan & SHERELLE, LCY, and Marcel Dettmann.
For the imprint's first release, Eris Drew & Octo Octa present a brand new split 12'' blue edition EP of original tracks. A Day After A Night With U / Stars & Water is discourse in glistening sonic form; a dialogue between two of dance music's most beloved artists.

The inaugural EP coming out on Originals opens with '‘A Day After A Night With U’, a track with spiritual sensibilities and a personal rooting for Eris Drew that draws on classic keyboard orchestrations, acid breaks and rattling bass to anchor the track’s 4/4 rhythm.
The track represents a night with emotional significance for Eris – a coming together that inspired Eris’ heart to fill her with love during a personally difficult time, a sensual reverberation of shared love breaking the shackles of anxiety imagined through the acid line breaking through ornamental keyboards, infectious soul vocal sample and vintage feeling synths.
Created in response, Octo Octa's ‘Stars & Water’ is a track also filled with huge feeling and heart. Driving a classic house sound, swinging rhythms, and progressive energy, the track has strength and sweetness in equal measure - bouncing through an analog bassline, to a blissful final climax, 'Stars & Water' moves our body, as well as our souls.
To celebrate, a limited amount of each fabric Originals 12” will be available as an exclusive edition with an additional die-cut logo slipcase outer. The first three projects from Eris Drew & Octo Octa, DJ Bone and Helena Hauff are available to pre-order as a limited edition bundle. Order HERE.
