fabric Originals: Chloé Robinson and DJ ADHD's new four-track EP is out now
Three heated collaborative tracks and the warping solo number '212 from DJ ADHD make up the project.
Chloé Robinson and DJ ADHD’s explosive new four-track EP ‘Dream’ is out now. Adding to a string of successful releases and collaborations, and following a heated debut Boiler Room, the duo are back with a release that omits rhythm, textures, flavours, and vocals that bring us straight into no-frills dance floor bliss. An enthralling blend of percussive elements, their signature polyrhythmic techno, aspects of electro, UK garage, and more.
Today their EP is out via fabric Originals / fabric_records on vinyl, streaming platforms everywhere, and as an exclusive download via Beatport for the next two weeks before a digital worldwide release on 29th September.
Three collaborative tracks, “Get Me”, “Dream”, and “Genius”, make up the project plus one solo track from DJ ADHD; the bouncy and warping ‘212’:
“‘212’ has been a highlight of my sets for the last year now,” says Alex Frosell aka ADHD. “It started out as a live jam a few hours before a show that I chopped up and rearranged to create this distorted yet bouncy tool that always gets a great reaction in the club…”
With previous releases and collaborations like Chloé’s production debut on the EP Steamin’, which included the Four Tet remix of ‘Pax’, and subsequent explosive tracks like the ‘Get In The Bin’ featuring Nikki Nair, the duo has made a considerable impact with their productions, seeing in rave reviews from publications like Resident Advisor, DJ Mag, and Mixmag. Now, the duo are back with a four-track EP that omits rhythm, textures, flavours, and vocals that bring us straight back into no-frills dance floor bliss.
“It’s always been a dream to work with fabric as a label, years and years before my production journey had even begun,” says Chloé. “I consider the establishment my family and have had a close relationship with the venue and team for over 10 years, I’ve even curated a few events there which is incredible. To now be following up with my very own EP on the new fabric Originals series leaves me speechless. DJ ADHD and I are sitting amongst some major pioneers in the game regarding the roster and we’re both extremely happy with the music and the finished product. The tunes are bouncy, fun, and a great representation of our sound. I’m absolutely buzzing to share this with the world!”
