Tour Diary: A Week In The Life of Kito
To properly introduce this article, we'd recommend reading our initial feature with the Australian born Kito here, where she introduces herself and her music properly, doing it way better than any glossy introduction we could provide ever really could. But on hearing of her return to Farringdon on the 14th September and through following her travels through her social networks we thought it'd be nice for her to share a little bit of her life with our readership, so we simply asked her to take more photos and give us a snapshot of what her life is like over a seven day period.
"When Fabric asked me to do a ‘week in the life of Kito’ blog post I naturally wanted to pick the most exciting, crazy, ridiculous week. Writing about the hours spent in my ‘studio pants’ wouldn’t really be reflecting the life DJs portray on twitter. Thing is – most of my week is usually spent in what I like to call ‘studio pants' mode. So, in respect to being real and not creating a false pretence (and also because I am not Tiesto), here's a couple of pics that sum up my average Monday – Thursday hustle."
Friday:
"OK so now that it’s Friday. I leave my cave and integrate with human society again. I’m playing at Cable in London and I bring my [pregnant with twins] sister from Australia along with me. This is her [at Cable]:"
Saturday:
"To the motherland! (I’m half dutch) I played in Amsterdam with Feadz at Valtifest. OFF. THE. HOOK. Never seen so many good costumes. Had an amazing time and consumed too much alcohol and didn’t eat enough!! As Musa said on Twitter - "never forget/remember valtifest...""
With Musa and Spank Rock.
Para One and Feadz sharing a moment.
Toddla T says "HI!"
Say "cheese" Surkin.
Sunday:
"Wake up not-so-early and catch a train to Rotterdam to visit my Uncle and Auntie, and stay a few days with them. Eat, drink, catch up! My dutch rellies are the best."
"Last minute record shopping with Feadz in Rotterdam before leaving for Paris. We found some gems."
Catch Kito in Room One this Friday night.
