It’s hard to succinctly pin-point Hutch’s sound. “Eclectic” is a word often used to describe DJs, but for Hutch it’s more than that. He understands eclecticism as something other than playing diverse sounds; it’s about knowing them, breathing them, and exploring their sonic potential. And we can safely say he does this expertly. House, techno, jungle, dnb and UK garage aren’t just genres to Hutch, they’re languages he’s fluent in.

Starting out as a resident at Ministry of Sound at just 19, Hutch has risen through the ranks of the London scene. Now he’s a resident at Rinse FM, with regular appearances on NTS and Ballami, with experience sharing the stage with Nastia, Skream, Artwork, Benji B, Marcellus Pittman and Shy FX. Hutch excels just as much at big parties and festival stages as he does in the comfort of the basements he’s been brought up through. His encyclopaedic knowledge of genre is more than worth showing up for.
