We're Hiring - Project Manager fabric Records
We are looking for a highly organised, detail-oriented individual to join the fabric Records team. This role is central to ensuring the smooth operation of our label releases on fabric Presents, fabric Originals, fabricfirst membership services, and physical stock management. The ideal candidate will have a passion for electronic music, experience in managing frontline releases, and strong organisational skills.
Reports to: Head of Labels and Marketing Director
Key Responsibilities
Label Operations & Release Management
- Manage fabric Presents and fabric Originals releases from start to end.
- Liaise with management, artists, and contributing artists to coordinate releases.
- Work closely with manufacturers to ensure timely production of physical releases.
- Collate and submit metadata to our digital and physical distributors.
- Oversee the mastering and approval process to ensure quality control.
- Manage the design team for artwork in CD, digital, and vinyl formats.
- Handle and oversee PR strategies for selected projects.
- Work alongside licensing teams to reach out to artists and research contacts.
- Work alongside our distributor to maximise visibility and impact across DSPs.
- Set up and manage products on our D2C platforms including Bandcamp and Shopify.
- Ensure stock is delivered on time to distributors and in-house for release day.
- Support the marketing team on announcements and release day activations.
- Support the label’s presence through strategic partnerships, events, and youth culture platforms.
- Manage the promotion of label releases to maximise engagement and exposure.
Stock & D2C Management
- Coordinate stock movement across distributors, warehouses, manufacturers, and direct-to-consumer (D2C) platforms.
- Maintain daily communication with the warehouse for mailouts, shipments, and returns.
- Address customer complaints and manage returned orders efficiently.
Store & Merchandising
- Report daily to the warehouse on any orders not automatically pulled through to their systems.
- Manage and update inventories across D2C platforms to reflect real-time stock levels.
- Set up and oversee merchandise listings.
- Ensure relevant merchandise and stock are available for the club, staff, and tuckshop sales.
fabricfirst Membership & Customer Engagement
- Oversee the membership database, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date records.
- Manage shipment for fabricfirst’s physical products.
- Provide excellent customer support via email regarding products, tech assistance, payments, refunds and member queries.
Required Skills and Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in label operations, distribution, or music retail.
- Proven experience managing digital and physical releases in the music industry.
- Strong proficiency & familiarity with Project Management software such as Monday, Asana or Motion.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to coordinate and collaborate across multiple teams.
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail, with experience meeting complex project deadlines.
- Familiarity with DSPs, metadata management, and music distribution platforms.
- Experience using D2C platforms like Shopify, Bandcamp, and inventory management systems.
- Proficiency in customer service and CRM systems.
- A passion for electronic music and an understanding of fabric's audience.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
- Residence in or near London, as this is a hybrid office-based role.
- Must have the right to work in the UK (we cannot offer sponsorship for this role).
