Audio: Evil Nine share a mix featuring exclusive new material

Evil Nine emerged during a surge for breaks in the UK, dominating the bursting early 2000s scene alongside the likes of Stanton Warriors, FreQ Nasty and Adam Freeland. Over the years they became staples on Freeland’s Marine Parade imprint, with two full-lengths and a string of singles that loosely tied together strains of breakbeats, electro and hip-hop. They also set up their own label called For Lovers and held up a residency with us at FABRICLIVE, embodying the core of our night’s identity during its infancy. This Friday they join the Warriors for their Rise LP launch, and ahead of landing, they sent over a mix sharing some of their exclusive new material to get us well prepped.
