The first fabric book: We need your stories, memories, and archive material from the last 25 years

Set to be published by White Rabbit, the book will be part of a full year of activities in celebration of our milestone birthday in 2024.

We can't quite believe it. Our 25th birthday is on the horizon. To mark the occasion, we are working on a special book project documenting our story so far, and we need your help. Set to be published by avant-garde publishers White Rabbit Books, the publication will chronicle our history, from when we first opened in Farringdon in 1999 through to the present day. As well as including written material from author Joe Muggs, we need your contributions to make this truly special.

Ever since we opened in 1999, you - our dancers and our community – have played such an important part in our history. We are asking all those who have interacted with fabric over the years, to send in archive material, stories and oral snippets, photographs, video, old flyers and more to be used as subjects and sources for the forthcoming publication.

Please send us your most memorable moments of the club or label over the years. From stories about falling in love at fabric, first dates on the dance floor, and making new connections, to fond memories about particular club nights DJ sets, recollections about or participation in the #savefabric campaign, or simply a favourite fabric visual or artwork; friends and family of fabric can share their part of our collective history by submitting material via a Google Form before the deadline of 7th August 2023.

Whether you live the fabric experience in real life and have been a regular at the club over the years, or you experience the fabric brand from afar (through records, fabricfirst, or maybe you’ve been inspired by our lineups or artwork), we would love to receive your memories.

SUBMIT HERE.

DEADLINE: 7TH AUGUST 2023.
