I’m a 23 year old guy, producing since 5 years ago and travelling the world for 3 years now playing music. What do you enjoy most about living in Valencia? How does the city inspire you each day as an artist? Valencia is a great city, is not too big and not too small, life here is cool, good weather, beach, and my family and most of my friends live here, I love it for winter time, for summer I prefer Ibiza, I’ve been going there for 3 summers now, every city is inspiring in its own way, but both fantastic. Your latest EP landed on Get Physical Music earlier this year. It’s been quiet since March, is that because you’ve been busy touring? How’s the experience been? I have released EPs on Stil Vor Talent and More Music after the Get Physical one, the last months have been quieter due to touring more than I use to in the last 2 years, the experience has been great and now I’m focussed on the studio, winter time is perfect for that! Looking back, what’s been the best DJ set you’ve played this year? I’ve had a few special ones, but I will say Kehakuma Closing at Space Ibiza, Melodic Dublin and Truth Johannesburg, South Africa. They have all been top ones. Are you looking forward for playing next to Digweed in Room One next Saturday? What can we expect? Yes, I’m super excited. I be starting the night so I’ll play a long progression set, it is also my first time at fabric, so I guess I can’t plan anything, just go with the flow! How are you connected to his label, Bedrock and the celebration of its 14th anniversary this year? Have you learnt anything from Digweed's craft behind the decks? I’m a big fan of John, I remember my first contact with electronic music was with a Renaissance CD mix from him when I was 12 years old, I had that CD on repeat for the whole summer and now I’m warming up for him in one of the greatest clubs of the world, it’s an amazing feeling! Your discography shows your regular collaboration schedule with Jordi Grau aka Triumph? What is it essence of your music partnership? I collaborate with lots of Spanish friends, including Los Suruba, Uner, Coyu...we love to get together in the studio and have fun, share our views about electronic music and create music that we won’t create by ourselves. Triumph is a really good producer and has a special taste for electronic music. I’m sure I will keep doing records with him in the future! Can you tell us about the mix you’ve put together for us? I recorded it at La3 Valencia, the club I used to do my party called Fayer every 6 weeks. Includes some unreleased stuff like my new EP for Culprit LA or my new remix for The XX song "Reunion", this will be the first time I share it with the world and it will be released in 2013. Finally, what goals have you set for yourself in 2013? I’m ready for my album, I’ve been waiting long and I think this 2013 is the year for it! Also I want to keep travelling and following my passion for music to the whole world. Edu Imbernon will be making his Room One debut this Saturday alongside John Digweed, for more information and tickets go here.
